Artist Statement

My inspiration to create and paint started at an early age. At age five, I was painting next to my Mom, who is an artist. As an adult, I'm inspired to capture the magnificent wilderness of state and national parks through watercolor paintings of wildlife and landscapes. My environmental interests and underwater photography inspire me to preserve the vibrant colors, dynamic lighting, and beauty of marine life in my watercolor paintings. I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and Master of Education (MEd) from University of North Texas, Denton, Texas. After completing my BFA, I worked as an art teacher in Texas. In 2007, I established an art business, Wildlife in Watercolors, and sell my original watercolor paintings and fine art Gicle
